The Department of Trade and Industry in South Africa have tasked a number of special purpose vehicles across all provinces to assist the SMME and large business with assistance from financing to business support services etc.

Through the country there are very specific organisations that offer specific assistance to business ranging from export assistance to export credit insurance to networking opportunities and most importantly regional levels of assistance with specialist functionality within an organisation such as accounting assistance, training, labour broking and so forth.

Provincially, each representative of the DTI will assist business however, there are specialist structures within such as the Small Enterprise Development Agency that offers support services through to large scale funding of corporate finance for BEE deals and buy ins such as the National Empowerment Fund Corporation.
